You Are As Unique As Sand

While growing up, some of my fondest memories center around the times that my family went to the beach.

I married a beach-loving girl, so the beach remained part of my life.  In fact, for several years I lived on the Mississippi coast near the water (and the sand), so it had to be part of my life.  Many vacations have taken us to beaches as well, and my kids grew up loving it as well.

I am not a fan of lying in the sun, but I do love the sounds, smells, and sights of the beach.  However, in school I remember looking at sand through a microscope and being amazed.  Each grain is spectacular.  Each grain is unique.  Each grain carries the fingerprint of God.  Those grains of sand that all look similar from a distance, look like pretty stones, little eggs, gems, snowflakes, and many other things when you really look at them.  They come in different shapes, colors, and sizes.  Only when you zoom out can you tell that they are actually sand.

God created every one of them, and He showed off.  His creativity is amazing.

But He also was just as creative when He chose to make you!

You are the crown of His creation.  He loves us, so we are all given His full creative attention.

God put it like this to Jeremiah in Jeremiah 1:5: “I chose you before I formed you in the womb; I set you apart before you were born.  I appointed you a prophet to the nations.”

His eyes were on you before you were born too.  You were not supposed to be like others.  You were not supposed to be like celebrities.  You were supposed to be like you.

Another amazing things about this is that you can discover what God created you to be and do.  When you accept Jesus as your Lord and Savior, God saves you, and the Holy Spirit comes to dwell in you.  He will then show you who you are and what you are to do if you are willing to listen.

Isn’t God amazing???

I wrote a book that deals with your uniqueness and how God wants you to serve Him while finding ultimate fulfillment. It focuses on the Spiritual Gifts that He gives to us. Check it out below…
